Join local bird expert, Tiffany Mason, on a guided bird watching tour of the beautiful Albens Reserve, Mount Panorama, followed by morning tea. We will stroll along paths and paddocks in search of our beautiful native birds in the grassy box-gum woodland. This reserve is only open to the public a few days per year. Come and join representatives from the Mildura Rural City Council on the Mildura Riverfront to undertake bird counts for the 2019 Aussie Backyard Bird Count.

Bought to you by the Cowra Natural Resource Management Committee and partners, the adorably-named Archibird Prize photography competition is now open for its 2nd year! Entrants can submit up to 10 photos per category (there are 3 categories). Photos must be of wild Australian birds taken within 100kms of Cowra. Head over to their website for more details.

Holly Parsons from Birdlife Australia will teach you how to ID birds and participate in this year's Aussie Backyard Bird Count, an activity for all-ages that involves observing and counting the birds that live near you. Holly will also look at what you can plant to create bird habitat in your backyard.

As part of Bird Week 2020, the Cowra NRM along with support from Mid Lachlan Landcare, Saving our Superb Parrot and NSW Government, will be hosting an evening on all things Birding Join us on Tuesday the 20th October and spend an evening with Warren Chad & Damon Oliver for a light hearted talk about what’s going on with our feathered friends and discover the role you can play through observation and citizen science to make a difference.
