How to take part in Birds in Backyards surveys
Taking part in the Birds in Backyards surveys is easy. You don’t need to be an expert bird-watcher to help out! In fact we have features in the survey to assist you. The survey gives you a list of 30 common birds in your area with photos.
To get started, you’ll need to register for Birdata – even if you’re already registered for the Aussie Bird Count. This is because Birdata is a completely separate tool and website than the Bird Count tool and website.
Like the Aussie Bird Count survey tool, you can use the Birdata app on your smart phone, or enter your survey results into the online web form.
