Whether you’re a small team or a large organisation, it’s an easy way to reconnect with nature and contribute to a national citizen science movement, with no experience needed.

Step 1: Register

Sign up your business to receive our free participation pack and get Count-ready.

Step 2: Promote

Use our posters and corporate how-to pack to invite your team and network to take part.

Step 3: Host

Organise a lunchtime birdwatching walk, set up a Count zone or turn it into a friendly team challenge.

Step 4: Share

Post photos, team tallies and fun sightings on social media and tag @birdlifeoz to show your support for citizen science.

Just spend 20 minutes in your favourite outdoor space and tell us about the birds you see during that period.

Count the birds

You can submit your group’s results using the app or the web form. You only need to submit one count per group.
