Angela Robertson-Buchanan, Egg Picnic and Fiona Roderick are hosting a collaborative exhibition during Bird Week, with 20% of sales donated to BirdLife Australia. This exhibition will showcase some incredible bird images that aim to inspire more Australians to support bird conservation and learn about their local birdlife.

Join local Bird Guru Peter Langdon for a fun & informative walk in our beautiful garden looking & listening for our wide range of birds. Following the bird tour, join Peter in our Bluebush Café (in our visitor centre) for a cooked breakfast, a cuppa & a chat. Bookings essential as numbers are limited.

Dr Holly Parsons from BirdLife Australia will take a group of early risers through the wetland area of Sydney Park and show us some of the delightful birds that call this park home. Holly has extensive experience in environmental education and a wealth of knowledge about birds in Sydney, and how we can help look after their natural habitat. Suitable for ages over 8 years. Parents or carers must accompany children under 16 years. This event celebrates National Bird Week from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 October. $5 for adult tickets, $2.50 for concession holders. Breakfast will be provided.

Join local bird expert, Tiffany Mason, on a guided bird watching tour of the beautiful Albens Reserve, Mount Panorama, followed by morning tea. We will stroll along paths and paddocks in search of our beautiful native birds in the grassy box-gum woodland. This reserve is only open to the public a few days per year. Here is your chance to see a little piece of the endangered woodland right in Bathurst's back yard. Enter off Mountain Straight - look for the Council banner at the entrance road.

Bought to you by the Cowra Natural Resource Management Committee and partners, the adorably-named Archibird Prize photography competition is now open for its 2nd year! Entrants can submit up to 10 photos per category (there are 3 categories). Photos must be of wild Australian birds taken within 100kms of Cowra. Head over to their website for more details.

Holly Parsons from Birdlife Australia will teach you how to ID birds and participate in this year's Aussie Backyard Bird Count, an activity for all-ages that involves observing and counting the birds that live near you. Holly will also look at what you can plant to create bird habitat in your backyard.

As part of Bird Week 2020, the Cowra NRM along with support from Mid Lachlan Landcare, Saving our Superb Parrot and NSW Government, will be hosting an evening on all things Birding Join us on Tuesday the 20th October and spend an evening with Warren Chad & Damon Oliver for a light hearted talk about what’s going on with our feathered friends and discover the role you can play through observation and citizen science to make a difference.
